The 10th issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine this year, on sale Wednesday, has announced that the manga Negima! Magister Negi Magi will end.
The popular shonen manga is set to end after three (3) more chapters, but author Ken Akamatsu will do a two-issue hiatus before the final chapter be released.
The series is set to return on the magazine’s 13th issue, on sale February 29 (Wednesday), and is expected to publish the finale on the 15th issue at the earliest.
Negima! Magister Negi Magi is a popular fantasy comedy manga series by Ken Akamatsu, creator of anime series Love Hina. The series was serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine in February 2003, and currently has 36 volumes.
The series has inspired two anime adaptations, numberous OVA series, and film adaptation last year.
It is a story of ten-year-old prodigy Negi Springfield, who had just graduated from magic academy, and in order to become a master mage he is sent to Japan to teach English at an all-girls middle school. But Negi has a bigger dream than just becoming a master mage. He wants to find his missing father, “The Thousand Master”, the strongest mage that has ever lived. And he soon finds that searching for his father wont be as easy as he first hoped. In fact, it pushes him and his students into life-or-death battles that decides the fate of millions.
